RELOCATION OF PROPANE PEAK-SHAVING SYSTEM
APPLIED ENGINEERED SYSTEMS completely disassembled and relocated the propane peak-shaving system from N.Augusta, SC to Greer, SC. The system consists of
five (5) 60,000 gallon propane tanks,
two (2) 3,000 GPH propane vaporizers,
two (2) vertical turbine pumps, and
two (2) modular buildings.
One building contains a 312 MM BTU/HR propane-air mixing system and a computerized control system. The other building contains two (2) 300 HP, 210 PSIG compressors, one instrument air compressor and the MCC for the total system. Each 60,000 gallon propane tank weighs 100,000 lb. and is 11 ft. in diameter and 90 ft. long. These tanks and buildings were moved from N.Augusta to Greer over the state roads on special trucks. The complete system was completely re-installed by APPLIED ENGINEERED SYSTEMS on Greer CPW's property. New foundations, underground piping and electrical wiring were designed and installed to accommodate the system components.KIMBERLY-CLARK CORPORATION
